Minutes of this weeks' meeting (May 15): ---------------------------------------- - Margret gave an overview over the setup of modules as we will have it in the combined testbeam during the Aug/Sept run. The readout-cannel numbering for the HEC will be different from the previous runs. A web-page is in preparation that will hold HEC and EMEC information as well as information on group-internal progress. - Naoko told us about the present status of the Athena. The official release for use at the moment is 3.0.x (where x=0or1) Towards the end of May an overhauled release (3.2.0) will be done, in which access to the data will be different than it has been so far. With that release, both HEC and EMEC data can be accessed - although the EMEC data is still only a dummy entry at this point. Once release 3.2.0 is done, it will be left alone until the testbeam starts and new information is available. Data such as calibration constants, geometery and pedestals will be stored in a "Conditions Data Base" (API) that is based on MySQL. This database is still under development. - Ian converted PAW Ntuples into ROOT (with h2root) and set up an analysis framework in ROOT. In this framework, the data is distributed into different classes (one each for: run, event, cell and geometry). These classes can then be accessed using a user algorithm. The structure of the user algorithm is designed to look like Athena code. Ian's work has progressed far enough that one of the next things to do will be to produce a set of PAW ntuples from last year's testbeam, move them to UVic and set up an analysis program here.
