Minutes and to-do list (25.Sept.2002) ====================================== On Sept. 25, Manuella came for a day's visit (and GOOD colloquium!) to Victoria. Manuella met with Naoko, Michel and Margret and the list of things below were discussed. Manuella and Margret then got an introduction to the cubic fit method by Michel, and after that it was time for Manuella's colloquium. ------------------------------------------------------------------ List of things to do: - relative study with extra rad lengths material in front - noise/pedestal study: - stability in time - rms - hec/emec - correlations: - mechanical (different layers) - electronic - eta (phi) - even/odd sums (look at clusters: Is the noise of the summed cluster consistent with the sum of the noise of the individual channels?) - does it go with n or sqrt(n) of cluster size? - Weights are produced based on a section of the pulse. In order for digital filtering to work, the "dig_t_global" constant has to be tuned. - timing: TDC didn't work properly during the run. Try to use cubic fit on the cell with the highest signal and see how time is in other cells relative to the timing of the cell with the highest signal. - urgent things to be done: * HEC+EMEC Calibration (ADC->nA) (Pavol) * Weights (Pavol. Naoko started on that) * Noise studies (Claudiu to start on that) * Timing (Margret to join Michel on that) * * - For next LArg week should have presentations on: * Status of code * Preliminary results * A do-it-yourself tutorial writeup (Margret and Naoko) * *
