Minutes of the Testbeam Meeting, held Thursday, February 13, 2003 ================================================================= (Present: ML, NK, TI, MF, TS) - Margret tried to follow Naoko's install instructions and had some problems, but will give it another try - it could have been due to an accidental mix and match of redhats 6 and 7, or a silly typo of some sort. - Michel will be putting the LArg week talks given by members of the UVic group on our UVic web-page. - Naoko reported from her stay at Cern: Rob has taken over the signal shape analysis from Naoko. There are lots of discussions going on w.r.t. the conditions database. That's the database that contains the weights, pedestals, wac's etc. At the moment there is a database that contains the paths to the castor datafiles for the different runs. There are services in Athena that make use of this database Everything else that is not "data" will go into the conditions database. A newly formed working group is dealing with the problem of how to interface to the conditions database. Depending on the outcome of this work, Naoko will modify the code such that the conditions database can be used. - Recent software relases: Naoko reports that releases 5.2.0. and 5.3.0. are ready to be used. (see eg: http://particle.phys.uvic.ca/~nkanaya/athena_tb/doc/memo5.2.0.html) Release 6.0.0 will be firmed up next week Tuesday. - Michel provided us with a nice explanation of the structure of the EMEC and the effects of the shape of the gap on the recorded signal, which can be seen in results that Sven showed during the LArg week. ps: Last week's meeting was quite short and didn't produce any detailed minutes. - Only Tamara, Tayfun and Margret were present and Margret gave an overview over some details of the HEC gap structure.
