Minutes of the UVIc testbeam meeting, Jan 30, 2003 ================================================== (present: TS, TI, ML, mgf) NB: -> Last weeks meeting was cancelled. -> Next week's meeting will have to be moved to Friday morning 9 am, because Margret won't be around on Thursday. --------------------------------------------------------------------- LARG week: ========== In today's meeting we briefly glanced at the list of talks given during the ongoing LARg week at CERN. The click-path for the web pages of the meeting is as follows: Go to: http://documents.cern.ch/AGE/current/ there, click on: - experimental meetings - ATLAS - Liquid Argon ... - LArg weeks Choose the LArg week you are interested in - Click on the meeting you want to see (or scroll down the page) - e.g. HEC/FCAL/Comb is one of the testbeam meetings - click on "agenda" - select the "transparancies" you'd like see and pull them over. Note: Most transparancies can be pulled over in different formats (pdf, gif, ps, ppt). Occasionally, there might be a talk that is only available in ppt. If you don't have access to microsoft software, you will have to ask one of us who do to either print or convert the file for you. I think Peter Schacht's plenary talk was one of those cases, so I have appended that to this email as a pdf file. A.O.B.: ======= Around the end of March, we will likely have an informal get-together with Peter Loch, Peter Krieger, Mohzen Kakzad and Rob here at UVic in order to exchange information on the testbeam monitoring and analysis software. The two Peters will have to set up a similar system for their upcoming FCAL testbeam and would like to profit from the experience we gathered during this past summer's combined EMEC/HEC testbeam. To-do-list for the coming week: =============================== - Look at transparencies of the LArg week to see what's going on. - Test out Sven's new code. - Follow Naoko's recipie for getting the code from the ATLAS repository.
