TBRootAna
Ian told us that he has updated the Display Service such that, aside from an automatic scale, it is also possible to set the scale manually and/or to lock the scale. It now draws while the program is running, rather than drawing everything at the end.
Michel pointed out that there has been a name change to parts of the Geometry Service, which might affect people's personal code. So, please look out for that and update your code if necessary.
Ian also pointed out that he has now coded a routine that finds the nearest neighbours to a line.
Richard was wondering whether Tayfun could re-write his existing analysis in TBRootAna. Tayfun thinks it should be fairly easy.
Naoko wanted to know whether it is possible to access the timing information in TBRootAna. Ian said he would make it available.

Status Reports
Tamara is getting the coefficients out of the NTuple via TBRootAna. She is using the CalibrationAlg systemAlg to obtain pedestal rms in nA as an approximation of the noise characterization (sigma) of the cells. Her ongoing work involves studying the occupancy of cells for pion runs with a view to obtain cell clusters to pursue her hadronic studies. She is doing this by plotting the distribution of what fraction of the time a cell sees a signal greater than, say, 2 sigma. This is still not completely done, but should be soon. After that she'll look at the same thing, but for the case that the cells see no beam. These numbers will then be compared to the case with beam (signal). This could eventually be turn into a systemsAlg.
Michel pointed out that NTuples could be produced in ADC, and then different calibration files could easily be checked in TBRootAna.

Tayfun is looking at the average eta and phi of the EMEC and compares it with the beam chamber information. At the moment he is only looking at the second layer. He sees a symmetric distribution for the signal vs phi and a distribution with a little tail for the signal vs eta. The tail is most likely due to the fact that in the testbeam setup the geometry is non-pointing and the beam traverses cells with increasing eta as it passes through the detector. (It was pointed out that this work should be done using the Geometry Service in TBRootAna.) Tayfun also produced eta-phi scatter-plots for layer 2 and for the beam chambers, and scatter-plots of eta-y and phi-x. The scatter plots show some structure, whose origin will have to be explored further.

Margret is familiarizing herself with TBRootAna. Ian has given her an introduction and she is now trying things on her own. Michel also offered help, if required. Margret thought that it would be good if there would be a little help-page for the total beginner, particularly if we aim at exporting the package.

Naoko pointed out that the production of NTuples is now finished, and she will soon send an email around in that respect. Naoko wants to reproduce Hendrik Bartko's work on the HV corrections.

Michel reported that a bug was found in a calibration file that we have been using, which resulted in an empty cell 55 (3rd layer HEC). The bug has been fixed and the HEC files will be reproduced. He also pointed out that ultimately there should be a systemAlg for HV corrections in TBRootAna.
