Status Report
Tayfun is looking at 119 GeV electron data in the EMEC, layer per layer.
He has been looking at the noise of cells outside his electron cluster by studying the mean and sigma
of their signal (after nA digital filtering) distribution. Michel pointed out that the different
populations in noise values are due to the various EMEC cell sizes. Michel also pointed out
that these results should be compared with the pedestal rms of the cells.
Tamara has started defining "by hand" a hadronic cluster for her investigation of hadronic showers.
Geometry
Michel confirmed that the various geometry coordinate systems and
related parameters, as well as the channel median coordinates, are now
in a satisfactory state. As there was no time today, the next meeting
will be largely devoted to geometry and the related TBRootAna geometry
services. Michel will make geometry slides available prior to the
next meeting.
TBRootAna
Ian detailed the latest (great!) progress with the development of
TBRootAna.
His slide can be accessed
here.
In effect, it is now fully functional. The remaining
efforts pertain to more advanced geometry services (including
displays), general code and comment cleanup, documentation and
tutorials.
Ian will be giving a TBRootAna tutorial to Laura, Tamara and Tayfun
prior to the next meeting.
