Minutes of the Testbeam Meeting, held Thursday, March 6, 2003

    Database:
    =========
  - Naoko reported that she is working on the Conditions Database.
    At the moment she is finalizing the format and is communicating
    with Hong Ma (who coordinates it all).
    The work concerns the way of how to get information from the
    databases. Once a final decision has been made, it will be
    tagged and committed.

   Data:

 - Naoko also loooked at some data: 119 GeV e and showed some nice plots.
   She plotted the eta/phi of the different longitudinal
   segments and the energy sum [nA] of a selected number of channels (cluster)
   around the the shower maximum. A timing cut was applied to ensure that
   the timing was ok.


   Geometry:
   =========
 - Margret mentioned that she has a first version for the emec z-information
   as a function of eta, but is aware that it is just rough at the moment
   and would like to cross check with the emec experts whether
   her approach is ok. Emails have gone out to the experts.

 - Michel pointed out that what is really needed is a geometry service
   for obtaining the position of a given point in a cell (for example
   the geometrical center of a cell) in a useful coordinate system
   (like an x-y-z beam test coordinate system).  This will be useful
   for cluster finding in athena or TBRootAna.  (as was already
   mentioned in the minutes of the previous week).
