Meeting Agenda

Rob started by showing us a list of the upcoming and current releases and there importance (available from agenda). Michel asked Rob if the new eformat for the 10.x.x branches will this cause problems in reading the older data. Rob said that new version will be backwards compatible (version number embedded in header).

Ian told us about the Athena Operation at UVic Webpage that will be used to collect all the information a user of Athena at UVic needs. He also explained that we have a mirror of the pacman cache here at UVic (slide available) and a partial mirror of the cvs repository. Rob suggested adding Reconstruction/RecExample to the local CVS mirror.

Warren has been in contact with Alasandro de Salvo in attempts to get his grid Canada certificate included in the Atlas Virtual Organization (Atlas VO). He is still getting an authentication error but Ashok and he expect to get this sorted out in a few days. One possible solution is to access the data from UK site to determine if this is a CERN specific problem with his certificate. He has put the procedure online. Ashok pointed out that certificate related commands must be run using bash or zsh.

Michel wanted to know where we are going to put our data and exactly what we should bring over from CERN. Rolf, Ashok and Warren were assigned the task of figuring out technically where to put the data and  Rob volunteered to design a logical tree structure for storing the data. It was also decided that we should transfer all the 2002 and 2004 TB data.

Rolf showed us a 150 GeV pion run that looks much better then last weeks. He confirmed that his problem was indeed with the pedestals. Rob mentioned that he should talk with the Atlas CVS librarian about getting a new package created with him having commit and tag rights to it.
