Attendance: RK,M. Lefebvre,MF,NK,Da,EM,M. Losty, CO. Let me start by saying I am sorry these notes are so late. 1. Michel reviewed some news from the ATLAS Review week just held in BNL. In particular, he quickly acquainted us with a two excellent talks, one on software and the other on electronics. Michel pointed that material about HEC software could be found on the following website: http://wwwhep.phys.uvic.ca/~uvatlas/atlas/hec/beamtest_software/ . [Note added by Michel: Although the address above works, I prefer we advertise the address http://wwwhep.phys.uvic.ca/~uvatlas/hec_adc which is simpler, and independent of future internal directory changes...] 2. Margret gave us a demonstration of her map of hec_adc. It is available on the web as a hyperlinked document. (It is now finished). The purpose of the map is to have a group resource to understand the structure and functionality of hec_adc. It was agreed that this would be useful as we work towards an OO design. 3. Naoko presented her work on the epio converter. Essentially we now have an operating converter and Naoko is working on introducing her code into the Athena framework. 4. Chris Oram presented material from Monika about the latest releases of Athena. We are beeing requested to have a "package coordinator". 5. Mike explained his experience with running and learning Athena. It was very useful to see examples of what works, what some of the pitfalls are and what questions we need to find answers to. 6. Dave Axen updated us on his progress with importing Athena to a local computer. He is making good progress. It is a difficult moving target. It was agreed that we will need a local platform running Athena to make progress writing the OO testbeam code. 7. Erica talked about her electronic simulation efforts. She has modelled an EST and looked at the effects of moving the boards small amounts. She has duplicated the model of Leonid for the testbeam. Next meeting is proposed to be at CERN very early in the week of July 16. People who will be there should briefly get together at the LARG week and pick a good time. RKK
