The road from the Mount Baker Ski Lodge up to the parking area at
Artist Point is usually snowbound until mid summer, but it makes a good
winter or spring snowshoe route, minus the hairpin curve sections which
are eliminated by shortcuts.
I waited at the top for about two hours, but the weather never
did clear enough for a good view of Mount Baker, and it even
snowed a bit on my way down.
I did this short walk on April 29, 2009.
