The 4th ATLAS Canada Physics Workshop will be held at the University of Victoria, December 11-12, 2006. The Workshop web site is http://particle.phys.uvic.ca/atlas/events/PhysicsWorkshop2006/

The Workshop will be followed by a software tutorial, offered on Wednesday December 13. More details soon. If you want to learn more about how to setup your Athena analysis, or to discuss related matters, then consider attending the tutorial.

Registration is free! For book-keeping purposes, please send an email to Ms. Lorraine Charron (lcharron@uvic.ca) indicating your name and affiliation, and if you plan to attend the software tutorial or not.

The meeting will take place in the Arbutus/Queenswood room in the Cadboro Commons Building. Lunch will be provided on both Workshop days, as will coffee breaks.

The room will be equipped with a screen, a projector and a speaker phone. Talks will need to be uploaded on the agenda prior to the Workshop.

Accommodation in Victoria is available at three hotels (The Fairmont Empress, The Harbour Towers, and Swan's Hotel) which have offered very good rates for delegates, which will be available only until November 10th - please book early.

The Fairmont Empress (http://www.fairmont.com/empress/): Located on Victoria's Inner Harbour, the Empress has restaurants, bars and a spa. A single or double occupancy Fairmont room will cost $90 (before taxes). Parking is $25/day. Their toll free number is 1-800-441-1414. State you are with the ATLAS group.

Harbour Towers (http://www.harbourtowers.com/index2.htm): Located close to the Victoria waterfront, this hotel has restaurants and bars, a fitness club and day spa. They are offering single or a double room at $73 (before taxes). Any additional adults are $19/day. Parking is $7/day. Their toll free number is 1-800-663-5896. State you are with the ATLAS group.

Swan's Hotel (http://www.swanshotel.com/): This hotel has its own micro-brewery, pub and restaurant. It is located a few minutes walk from Victoria harbour. Before taxes, a one bedroom suite is $80 (single occupancy) and $90 (double occupancy). Two bedroom suites will cost $160 (double occupancy) and $190 (quad occupancy). Parking is $9/day.
