Minutes of feedthrough meeting of 26 June, 2000. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Present: GV, Pof, PB, MLenc, AD, TH, MGF, RM, RL *) Milestones: - Four T-piece glands arrived from CERN on Friday afternoon after having been repaired by the CERN shop. Tests are underway to recheck the leak rates. - The BoltRings have been cleaned with compressed air and sealed in plastic bags. Plywood has been ordered for their storage/shipping crates. - PB's high-powered resistor test is up and running. - The last set of weld samples requested by TIS have been completed by SM and delivered to UVIC. A crate needs to be built to ship them to CERN. *) No Bellows Assemblies, Pigtails, or Vacuum Cables have arrived; we were expecting some of each of these any time now. Recent word from FCI is that the Vacuum Cables have not been shipped yet from the California test facility. I have requested an email notification as soon as the Vacuum Cables have been shipped, indicating the way-bill number and the number of cables in the shipment. *) Tom Muller of BNL notified Terry that some of their pincarriers have developed leaks in the side wall near the weld lip after welding. Tom will be visiting Glasseal to discuss the problem. Our entire lot of pincarriers was subsequently checked for leaks in the side wall near the weld lip. No leaks were found. Terry has provided Tom with the serial numbers of all of our pincarriers to assist in understanding which batches of pincarriers might be involved with the problem. Tom believes that the leaks might be correlated with the CERN steal. *) Mark presented some of his heater-plate wiring ideas to be presented and discussed at the LARG week. Some of the issues, such as how to pass the heater wires through the pedestal, require input from those at CERN responsible for such matters. *) Samples of the conductive mat material have been given to Chris Oram for rad testing. Agenda for next week: (PB to chair the next two meetings) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - Milestones - Report on VCR glands - FT0 construction update - AOB
