Minutes of feedthrough meeting of 22 January, 2001. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Present: Pof, PB, GV, AD, RL, TH, MLenc, ML, RKK, MGF *) Milestones - 100 Vacuum Cables arrived on 16 January, and another 100 Vacuum Cables arrived today (22 January). Cross talk tests have been completed on the 16 January batch. The 22 batch arrived without serial number labels (again...). - The last eight bellows assemblies were cleaned at TRIUMF on thursday 19 January. This marks the last of the ultrasonic cleaning to be done on all components. - More than 100 applications were received for the lab assistant position. Pof and PB will narrow the field down to four for interviews this week. *) The 194 Vacuum Cables that arrived on 27 November 2000 without serial number labels were finally labeled by hand (vc9100 -> vc9293) after numerous unsuccessful attempts to have FCI send us some of their spare serial number labels, and then put through the electrical tests. Three failed with insufficient ground shield contact, one with a signal line short between the two striplines, and one with an apparent broken ground strip. *) PB will respond to Patrick Fassnacht regarding our electrical requirements for building 180; four receptacles in the Endcap Feedthroughs reception/storage/testing area, plus one receptacle available for electrical tests after welding. *) PB will send to Alberto Desirelli by courier a hardcopy of the Control Step Document, as well as an electronic copy by email. This should be done ASAP. *) Roy had a phone conversation with Alberto Desirelli this morning regarding the TIS weld sample confusion. Alberto claims that the weld is not documented in the weld plan. A video conference has been arranged for 08:00 Monday 29 January to sort this out. All relevant drawings and documents should be prepared and available for the video conference. *) Tom Muller offered us the drawings of their shipping crates. Mark will contact Tom to obtain these, as there may very well be some useful features which we have overlooked. *) Richard contacted Chris Oram, who in turn contacted Bob Orr regarding payment for the warm LV cables; the payment issue is now out of our hands. *) Christian Zeitnitz has requested one old pigtail (the one we used for the `stretch' tests) for the readout of temperature probes, and one vacuum cable (crpp prototype) for the russians to use for the HEC cryostat. Pof will check with Bonnie regarding the use of a customs broker to send these (especially the pigtail) to CERN to ensure that the proper paperwork is done to track the re-export of the pigtails. Agenda for next week: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - Milestones - TIS video conference - latest pincarrier news - shipping crate progress - new lab assistant - lab computer upgrades - AOB
