Minutes of feedthrough meeting of 09 April, 2001. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Present: PB, Pof, AD, GV, FH, ML *) Milestones - ft03 has been cabled, checked for continuity, and is ready to be welded and cold-tested this week. - The ambient flange heater resistor tests have been terminated; PB will provide Margret with a summary for presentation at LARG week. - The 75 ohm resistors for the ambient flange heater have been ordered. *) An email was sent by Michel and Richard to Horst Oberlack, Pierre Paillier, David Lissauer, and Patrick Fassnacht summarizing the pincarrier production and allotment dilemma, coupled with our potential production ability (~3 ft's per month) and the consequences for the completion date of the Endcap C feedthroughs. This should hopefully stir some discussion... *) One socket on one of our 1.2 meter Axon test harness was damaged while plugging into a pincarrier. The socket is still intact, but probably will not take many more cycles. Consequently we have mounted the connector with the damaged socket semi-permanently onto one of the Cirris adapter ports (using jackscrews) so that the socket need not be cycled again. Fiona has subsequently ordered three more Cirris adapter ports (and they have arrived) and pof will look into ordering one or more additional Axon 1.2 meter test leads. *) Specific Mechanical presently has only one welder (Greg) qualified for welding our feedthroughs since the other (Loyd) has been laid off. PB will speak with Tom at SM about having another welder qualified, so that we always have two welders available. This might mean that we have to supply the $500 to cover the cost of qualifying. *) The light table for the video camera is nearly done. The lens and TV monitor will be ordered once the camera arrives. *) A version of the QA/QC document (version/date number 010330) has been frozen and will be placed on EDMS. Pof will look into the details of getting the document on EDMS. Items to include in the next version will be a full description of the ambient flange heater and a summary of the resistor tests. Test procedures should also be updated as required. *) An RFQ has been sent out for the purchase of 50 pigtail jumpers of the type BNL uses (3 inch unshielded wires). No decision to purchase will be made until tests are completed with the jumper loaned to us by BNL (arrived Monday 9 April). Agenda for next week: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - Milestones - Progress on ft03 - pincarrier status - Plans for LARG week (ft status, pincarrier status, etc) - AOB
