Minutes of feedthrough meeting of 04 June, 2001. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Present: PB, Pof, GV, AD, ASD, FH, MGF *) Milestones - ft06 has been welded, dye-penetrant tested, and cold tested. Final xtalk tests have been started. - ft07 and ft08 have been cabled, with welding and dye-penetrant testing to be done today (4 June). Cold testing on at least one of these should be completed this week. - 80 T-pieces arrived on 29 May; this is the balance of expected units. Two were found to have significant nicks on the sealing face. PB will inform Pierre Pailler of the defects. *) Chris Oram was here on Tuesday 29 May for a site visit and to review of our procedures; his written report should follow soon. *) Tom Muller has informed us that the next 24 pincarriers are expected to be shipped to us on Friday 8 June. We will work on HEC and Special feedthroughs with this next lot. *) Francisco Montes of FCI informed us that the balance of the vacuum cable order (236 cables, of which 100 have already been paid) will be shipped to us on Monday 11 June. *) Greg is working on generating reports with access, giving summaries of the parts (serial numbers) contained in each feedthrough. *) Jan Soukup of Alberta has shipped the acrylic mockup of the HEC pedestal to UVIC. *) Pof has ordered GPIB/IO interfaces for the CERN electrical tests, and Jan has put out an RFQ for the laptop PC to be used for data acquisition. *) The crate handles have been delivered and should now be installed. After some trials, it has been decided to place them at the ends of the crates rather than the sides. *) The duty cycle (or average power) of the ambient flange heater was measured during the ft06 cold tests, with the heater being held with an electronic controller at 25 degrees for several hours with the room temperature at 20 degrees. The average power was measured to be 16.3 Watts, consistent with the 15 -> 17 Watts expected from previous measurements. Agenda for next week: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - Milestones - Progress on ft06, ft07, ft08 - Pedestal mockup - News from BNL - Plans for the week - AOB
