Minutes of Feedthrough meeting of 9 July 01 Present: PB, AWD, ASD, GV, FH Milestones FT 09 (our first HEC feedthrough) was tested in the Cold Test Station. A short developed with a pin on the outside of the warm flange, but it was repaired. The FT will be dye penetrant tested today (this is now completed and passed), it is waiting for final electrical tests. Testing of the last 232 vacuum cables is continuing, all visual and Cirris testing is complete. Cabling of FT 10 is complete. It is currently being welded shut. Dye penetrant testing will also be done today (completed and passed). We have not yet received the 24 pin carriers that were shipped on 29 June. This week We will start the cabling of FT 11; this will be our second HEC FT. Xtalk and impedance testing of the vacuum cables will be started this week. Dave will be making two double wide shipping crates for the HEC FTs. The covers of the existing crates will be completed (handles and holes for screws, polly bags sealed) We will look at fastening four crates together and designing an outer crate. Alisa will be attending a meeting which will discuss the drawing program used at TRIUMF. They currently use Auto Cad, but they may change to a different program. At UVIC we have four licenses (including Roy's) for Auto Cad, three of these are TRIUMF and one is ATLAS, most of these require upgrading. If TRIUMF changes we may have to look at compatibility between TRIUMF and us.
