Minutes of feedthrough meeting of 23 July, 2001. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Present: Pof, GV, AD, ASD, FH *) Milestones - Vacuum cable testing is completed on the batch of 232 cables that arrived on 29 June. Two cables failed, one with an open signal trace and the other with an open ground trace, and will be returned to FCI for repair. Payment was authorized for 134 cables, which means that we have now authorized payment for 1748 of the 1750 cables expected, the two missing being the two that are to be returned. - ft12 (our second Special) is being welded today (Monday), as well as the warm flange for ft13 and the cold flange for ft14. ft11 (our second HEC) is to be cold tested tomorrow. ft10 (our first Special) is fully tested and ready to crate. - The 'leaker' pincarrier that arrived on 10 July was returned on Friday 20 July, and its replacement also arrived on Friday. 24 more pincarriers are expected to be shipped to us from Glasseal by the end of this week or early next week. *) The final resistance tests for ft09 (our first HEC) still need to be done. *) A number of outstanding jobs remain to be done: - heater plate machining for fuse block - design and construct the LV cable heater shunt - rewire the electrical switches at the vacuum station (several are starting to show signs of failure) - design and construct the warm flange protector plates for use at CERN after feedthrough installation - complete the video camera setup, including the light ring - several database related items which require assistance from Jan - vacuum check the CERN vacuum test manifold - assemble, test, and write LabView VI's for the CERN electrical test apparatus Agenda for next week: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - Milestones - HEC ft heater tests - Plans for the week - AOB
