Minutes of Feedthrough Meeting of 09 October, 2001

*) Milestones

* TMP Shed was connected up to building Ventilation (4 Oct).
   All TMP in Elliot R021 was moved into the TMP Shed (5 Oct).

*) 3 Crates of Vacuum and Electrical Test equipment for use at CERN was
shipped out (4 Oct).

*) FT16 welded (4 Oct).

*) FT16 was Di-penetrated (5 Oct).

*) Cold Flange for FT17 was welded and leak tested (4 Oct).

*) FT15 (HEC) has undergone all its final electrical tests and will be
crated this week.

*) Greg was able to remove 3 pigtails from the prototype Feedthrough (5
OCT).
    Serial Numbers: MD2884/006 (25 Ohms), MD2884/007 (25 Ohms),
MD2884/005 (25 Ohms)

*) The four Feedthroughs arrived at CERN (4 Oct)
    Serial Numbers: Ft00, FT01, FT02, FT03
A brief visual inspection was given over the Feedthroughs and there was
no apparent damage.     However, three of the four Feedthroughs had no
foam installed on the bellows braces and the pin carrier covers where
not properly held down with the two screws required.  New procedures and
checklists have been made to the QA/QC document to prevent this from
happening again.

*) Alan Shotter, the new director of TRIUMF, will be visiting us on
October 24th, 2001.

*) Plans for this week are:
    - Leak test FT16
    - Cold cycle and test FT16
    - Crate and ship next 8 Feedthroughs as soon as all documentation
and final checks are made.
    - Start cabling FT17 pigtails (need to use jumpers on FCAL after
cold cycle)
    - Clean / organize Rm021
    - Machine FT cover plates (material ordered is expected to arrive
this week)
    - Leak test and cold cycle the 24 Pin carriers that are expected to
arrive this week.
