Minutes of feedthrough meeting of 05 November, 2001. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Present: Pof, GV, FH, PB, ML, ASD, MGF *) Milestones - ft's 17 (the last Special for ECC) and 18 were welded and dye-penetrate tested on Tuesday 30 Oct. Three flanges were also welded on the same day. - ft 17 was cold tested (and passed) on Thursday 1 November. - The four HEC and one FCAL ft's were shipped to CERN on Friday 2 November. The four HEC ft's were bundled into one large 4-pak, and the FCAL coffin (same size as the HEC coffins) was placed alone in a second shipping crate. *) ft18 (a Standard) is ready to be cold tested. *) ft19 (a Standard) is being vacuum-cabled today (Monday) and might be ready for welding tomorrow. *) 12 pincarriers are to be hipot tested today and will be welded into flanges tomorrow. *) 12 more pincarriers have finished their first cold cycle over the weekend and are ready for a leak check. *) 12 more pincarriers are now in the cold station for their first cold cycle. *) 12 more pincarriers are waiting to be tested. *) pincarrier stock doesn't seem to be a problem... *) We need to supply some poly tubes to be placed over the pigtail bundles to protect them during and after assembly, similar to what BNL is presently using. Something to protect the micro-D and HEC connectors would also be useful (any ideas???). *) Michel confirmed that UVIC personel will be available to assist Aboud, at least during the initial stages of feedthrough installation. *) Pof assisted Dave Pate in performing the (BNL) electrical tests on two installed barrel feedthroughs last week (1 Nov). The tests were done on a ManLev platform. It appears there should be no serious problems performing the UVIC crosstalk tests on the installed EndCap feedthroughs from the ManLev. *) The issue of ft ownership to CERN must be worked out soon with Pierre, at least by the Dec LARG week if not sooner. *) The ASSO relevant to the EndCap Signal FeedThrough project will be held at CERN in Feb 2002. Michel will check with Pierre this week what will be required of our team. Before the ASSO (and preferably before the Dec LARG week) an updated QA/QC document should be posted, updated to include (among other things) the reception test procedures. We should also work on a means to make some data summaries of the reception tests available on the web. This could either be directly from MS Access (might not be possible) or from data summary files on unix. Greg will check with Jan on the Access possibilities. Agenda for next week ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - Milestones - feedthrough construction status web pages - transfer of ft ownership issues - plans for the week - AOB
