Minutes of feedthrough meeting of 4 March, 2002. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Present: Pof, FH, PB, AD, WW, ML *) Milestones: - ft29 and ft30 were both welded, and ft29 was cold tested; no problems observed. - eight flanges (four of each type) were welded, along with two pincarriers as replacements for one 7-row which leaked after welding and one 8-row with a badly bent pin from a cabling mishap. - ft31 pigtails were installed. - testing of pincarriers continues... *) Wendy is coming up-to-speed on the offline-analysis procedures to fill in while pof and Fiona are at CERN for the next two weeks (5 - 19 March). *) Now that we have shipped to CERN all the feedthroughs required for ECC (plus a few more) the next feedthrough shipment will probably wait until we can build and ship the spare HEC and/or the ECA FCAL feedthrough. *) All parts are now in had to complete the wiring and connections for the ambient flange heaters. We are still waiting, however, for Bob Hackenburg to send us a sample of the RJ11 connection to the RTD wires which BNL farmed out to a specialty shop. Also to be resolved is how we deal with the excess wire length of the RTD's; stripping the wire after cutting to length may be difficult without knicking (and weakening) the wire, while bundling the excess with cable ties or heat shrink is rather ugly... *) Michel has requested (again) that Orsay bill us for pigtails; the last bill we received was in October 2000. *) Michel is still working out the details with David Lissauer regarding the payment of our share of the pincarrier steel. Our share should amount to just under US$12,000. Agenda for next week (PB to chair) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - Milestones - Plans for the week - AOB
