Minutes of feedthrough meeting of 9 September, 2002. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Present: Pof, PB, AD, FH, ML *) Milestones: - No milestones to report *) The 'office area' and 'electronics area' of the ft lab have been cleared out and moved to other areas of the lab to make room for Dean Karlen's wire chamber work. A clean room to be built in the former office area is still in the planning stage, but construction should begin soon. *) Fiona is double checking the database entries and paperwork for the twelve crated ft's, since those ft's were crated while she was in Geneva. There are also two ft's on one of the workbenches which need to be finished (paperwork) and sealed in their coffins. *) Cabling of the second FCAL feedthrough (ft54) will be done this week. Once it is cabled, it will be welded and tested along with ft52 (a Standard, already cabled). Note that the feedthrough numbers are out of sequence, since ft53 (a Standard) still remains to be built (our last!) once we have sufficient numbers of pigtail cables. *) Pof and Fiona will travel to CERN, leaving 8 October and returning 29 October, to do reception tests on feedthroughs. There are currently four ft's at CERN which require reception tests. The twelve crated ft's at UVIC should be sent to CERN on Friday 4 October so that pof and Fiona will be at CERN to oversee their arrival. Storage space for the ft's is tight, but making use of the existing ft storage cage (assuming no work is to be carried out in that area) plus the ft shop (once the tests are done) should provide sufficient space. No feedthroughs which contain pigtail cables with the substitute micro-D material will be shipped to CERN until the results of the LAr pollution tests are known. These are ft52, ft53 (both Standards), and ft54 (FCAL). Agenda for next week ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - Milestones - Progress on building and testing ft's 52 and 54 - Plans for the week - AOB
