18 November: A phone report from Michel at CERN -- *) ECC feedthrough integration is still scheduled to start on December 2. Aboud, however, expects that the first week of December will be occupied only with preparation for feedthrough installation, and that the actual feedthrough installation will not commence for a week or so later. *) The installation of pedestals (and hence warm cable installation and post-installation electrical tests) will probably not occur until sometime after all the feedthroughs are installed on ECC. This will probably necessitate an additional trip to CERN for us. *) A number of other problems were discovered after opening ECC for the 'stopper' repair (futher problems with the stoppers, vacuum leaks, ...). The general consensus is that it was indeed fortunate that ECC was opened for a full and proper repair. *) ECA is presently scheduled for arrival at CERN on 17 April 2003. Most realistic estimates consider that date far too optimistic. Once ECA is at CERN, it will take at least one additional month to ready ECA for feedthrough integration, so late May is the absolute earliest that we will be installing feedthroughs on ECA.
