News from CERN, 19 December 2002: *) No map exists for warmflange to baseplane cabling. The map is different for each of the four types of feedthroughs. David Lissauer suggests that the map can be made by studying the UVIC cable note and the Colas note. It is clearly the responsibility of the electronics group, however, to produce that map before we proceed with warm cable installation. *) Six feedthroughs (one full quadrant) are fully installed, welded, leak and visual checked, and bagged for protection. One feedthrough has also been cross-talk checked with no problems found. *) Warm cabling and post-installation electrical tests are scheduled to be done during the same time slot. It is likely that I will want Paul Birney's assistance for two or three weeks so that we can meet this schedule. Fiona and I will be at CERN from 6 January (departing Victoria) through the third week in February (I'll have to check my ticket to get the exact date). *) We might also consider allowing Ken Sexton to plug in some warm cables (I've not discussed this with anyone from BNL, so Ken may not even be available for this).
