News from CERN, 17 Oct 2003 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ News from Paul and Fiona from CERN: From Paul: "We expect to finish the electrical tests near the end of this month, then spend two or three days pretecting the ft pigtails for upcoming operations, followed by a few days packing up to ship all our equipment back home. Our return flights are on 7 November. We've detected a few more problems with ECA than ECC: *) defective HEC baseplane which we have replaced *) one bent pin in a HEC ft warm flange which we repaired *) one intermittent channel on a HEC 8X2 pin connector which we repaired with the help of Wolf-D. Cwienk from MPI. We only have Standard and Special ft's remaining, so we anticipate no further problems since these have all been DC checked already when plugging in the warm cables." Congratulations!
