Feedthrough Meeting 05/09/97 present: P. Birney, M. Fincke-Keeler, R. Keeler, R. Langstaff, M. Lefebvre, P. Poffenberger - FEA Michel to include Terry's latest fea results in the LaTeX document. Terry is now studying the pressures to use for final fea. The goal is to have the final fea ready for the October review. - Drawings Roy has been in contact with J. Farell at BNL. A complete set of drawings will soon be in Roy's hand. We should print some of them for the GSC visit. - GSC Visit 1- Roy/Terry's work in Roy's room - HEC work - Feedthrough fea work: Michel to discuss with Terry on the choice of 6 fea plots to be mounted on a poster 2- Atlas lab - Margret and Michel have met with Michael Rensing. A lot of junk will be removed from the lab. Michel and Margret to organise the Atlas side in view of the visit, including a few posters. Paul to produce one or two nice posters for the proposed leak test station. - Vacuum cables Michel to remind Radeka and Makowiecki to tell us what is the stripline length tolerance. [Done]. - Review A feedthrough review will be held in CERN on October 13th, followed by two days of cryostats reviews. Margret, Terry, Roy and Michel will attend. Margret travels: 6th - 16th Michel travels: 3th - 19th Richard pointed out the review committee report of the June review is not suitable for distribution to NSERC. Michel to ask Werner Witzeling if the review report could be looked at by us before its release. Richard to point out to Michel what part of the last review report causes trouble, to be shown to Werner. The main points to be presented at the review: - FEA Terry on - the cold cable vs current - cooling of equipped flanges - updated fea with agreed pressures - Vacuum cable - Margret on progress report of current work and plans - Pigtail order - Margret on current understanding of the pigtail requirements and pending questions. - Cost estimates - Michel to coordinate with dave Rahm what to present - Project management - Michel will do his best, not clear what is desired - Procurement procedure and schedule - Michel to present the currently assumed schenario for the pin carriers and the pigtails. - Limit dates to be emphasised. - QAP, assembly procedures, testing procedures under study. - Welding Paul to contact the TRIUMF welder for information - Purchase requisition Paul to prepare purchase requisitions for vacuum hardware. A total of $18,600 is currently budgeted for temperature probes and misc vacuum hardware before April 1st 1998... Pof to find out the delivery time for the scroll pump.
