Hodges - Status of metal order and Pin Carrier order 3. P. Poffenberger - Status of cable tests 4. R. Keeler -Agenda of the next meeting 1. Paul Birney briefly discussed the activities in the basement. a. Conflat system for neck. b. Priority is get a production plan in place. - To finalize requires drawings BUT it was agreed to go ahead anyway because of the urgency. 2. Roy told us the status of the drawings and the plans for future work. a) Mark was arriving on Tuesday June 22. He would work on the interface drawing. This would fix the envelope and would be an assembly drawing. b) Next task, work with BOA to get a quote. Order bellows ~ July 12. 3. Pin Carrier and Metal a) RK reported that enough steel for 2 X 40 pieces have left CERN for Glasseal in California. BNL has paid for it. b) Glasseal order should be finalized after success test of pin carriers to 15 Bar (gas) and 250 Bar (hydrostatic). NOTE: Pin Carrier order was finalized that week 4. Paul Poffenberger reported on the electrical tests: a) Status of test equipment. i) Resistance tester is functional and Rob is completing a new vi. ii)Cross talk is available by hand. Precision is 1/mil. # nearest neighbours have been measured. iii)Amplifier/shapres have been mounted on a board. External chassis finished by the end of the week. iv) Network analyzer - there are some questions about systematic errors that Paul will explan in a future meeting. Rob should do a vi. v) Scanner and fanout boards. Micro-D's have arrived. Computer file for the schematic of the fanout has arrived from Orsay. UBC is working on it. NOTE: UBC will make on fanout board that can address one trace at a time. They will build a controller for the second board so that any number of traces may be addressed at a time. (MF) b) Status of testing i) Resistance tests- cables 1--80 all done. There was one open trace. ii)Impedance tests - 74 cables tested iii) Ground contact - cables 1-23 and 34-53 measured. Contact resistance was 200-400 micro-ohms. Remainder will be completed before July 5 meeting. iv) Cross talk - 18 measured with 3 nearest neighbour. Largest measured value was 0.35 percent. Two more cables were to be completed. 5. Agenda for July 5 discussed.
