Minutes of Feedthrough meeting - June 28, 1999

1. Computerisation 
   - Scanner and fanout boards from UBC/ORSAY use parallel port.
      - We have 2 parallel port oards, one serial board and two GPIB
boards. We are ordering a second serial board.
      - We may be short on computers but all is ok at the moment.
   - VI's for LabView Rob
      - Resistance controller is done.
      - cross talk has a simple controller - the scope readout is done.
   - Shaper and Amplifier module is now ready from UVic shop.
   - TDR vi ready by end of week.

2. Drawings - Roy
   - Interface drawing should be ready by Friday July 2.
   - RFQ to BOA for 5 bellows is going out July 2.
          - July 12-14 for purchase.

   - Mark is drawing up the new bellows design. Ours will
be like BNL. Bellows cuff and funnel will be welded in a two
step process for us. Funnel weld is an ASME standard weld. 
BOA will do two lip welds.
   - Funnel assembly will be welded together and then welded
to the cold flange by a fillet/groove weld.
   - We have now purchased an uptodate ASME Code book.

   - Full set of drawings scheduled for 6 weeks from now Aug. 16.
      - CDD by Sept. 1.
      - Terry will sign for us - we need a CERN delegatee.

3. Pigtails (MF)
   - We need to order extra T51 cables for the 2 free HEC slots.   
   - We need low voltage kaptons - Margret has contacted AXON for a quote.
   - Loop cables - Can do it with jumpers MF to talk to Horst Brettel
                   ALSO Pof talk to UVIC shop.
   - Margret has sent messages to Horst Brettel asking about when he will
come to Victoria and what he expects to do? What do we need to provide?

4. T. Hodges is writing up thermal tests. He will put files on UVIC FTP
site.

5. AOB 
     (Michel - could you ask about these points?)
   - Do we need heater prototypes?
     Who will be proving power for the heaters for the flanges 
     and the LV cables?
   - We think the dew point of the cavern will be 14 degrees. Is this correct.
