Feedthrough Meeting for 23 Aug 1999 Present: GV/ML/AD/RK/MR/PB 1) Aaron gave an update on the feedthrough production time line. All 55 feedthrough items have been entered into MS Project and are about to be linked. He will also work in items such as time / resources / visits by the welder etc. 2) Mark is continuing with the assembly drawings when he is able. The drawings are not a holdup except the length of the two VCR glands on top of the warm flange. It is not known who at CERN is responsible for this gland length dimension. -PB will look into the cost of the 120 VCR glands and nuts for the warm flange. It is assumed that the VCR elbows are not the responsibility of UVIC. - Mark has agreed to pick up from TRIUMF stores 10 log books 07-1/02102 $22.55 ea 9 packages (of 10) cotton inspectors gloves mens 6-1/4100 at $0.9644 ea. 1 package (of 10) ladies 6-1/4106 at $0.9429 ea. 3) The first pig tails have arrived. We have (18) T47 and (12) T48. We also received (10) Micro D female to female 50 ohm cables and (10) Micro D female to female 25 ohm cables. -The pin carriers should be arriving soon. -We will need to print out our Q/A sheets. 4) Paul B noted that the first thermal test with the ROHACELL insulation has been completed, A second test without any insulation will be done this week. - it was observed that water droplets formed on the pins during the night when no heat was on the warm flange. Throughout the day the flange was kept at 14 deg. but only the two rows next to the heaters dried off. Richard suggested the purchase of a humidity gauge to allow us to calculate the dew point. The pins may be at a lower temperature then the flange. The five flanges that are to be machined will be : (1) warm flange as per drawing for feedthrough "0" (1) warm flange (without pockets for pin carriers) for Aboud (2) cold flanges as per drawing - one for feedthrough "0" - one for TIS for a completed cold box (1) cold flange (without pockets for pin carriers) for Aboud 5) Michael reported that the scanner board from UBC has arrived. He will look into our data base requirements and will check with Chris Oram on how to send an electronic Q/C report. The agenda for next week Update of "Feedthrough production time line" (AD) Date of completion of assembly drawings (ML) Data base Q/C reporting (MR/PP) Update of "Jobs to be done sheet" (PB) AOB
