Feedthrough meeting  September 7, 1999

1. Comments from RK

The ATLAS NSERC review will be on January 9, 2000.
The final text for this years grant will be needed
by September 16.

2. Business arising from last meeting. BERG is preparing
a reply to our tender request.
   
   Terry will check why the pin carriers are late.

   Roy is finalizing height of the vacuum tube (gland)
on the warm flange.

3. Mark has produced a schematic of the feedthrough with
vacuum cables and pigtails.
   He has questions about:
- showing the insulation inside the bellows
- Part numbers for cables
- how to show heating resistors

   He has started a second set of drawings showing the steps
of the assembly. This will complete the drawings.

4. Paul P discussed the interaction of theelectrical tests and the 
mechanical, vacuum and thermal tests. A decision was made to weld
the cold funnel assembly to the cold flange; weld the bellows to the
cold and warm flange all at the same time. A vacuum test of the cold funnel
would be made immediately in ambient conditions. The FT would then be 
transferred to the cold testing station.

5. Paul B. showed a fairly advanced  FT -1 plan. He has agreed to send RK
a postscript file that RKK will make available.
