Feedthrough Meeting on November 29, 1999

1. Milestones
   - No pincarriers - still have 17
Terry could you ask Glasseal to send us the new invoice for the first
6/8 pin carriers. I have not seen an invoice for the remaining 11 either.
   - Insertion Module
        - essentially ready to ship
        - Mark has a preliminary shipping crate design and a simple version
will be built in the shop this week. 
              - There was some discussion of how we deal with the production 
version of the shipping crate. Mark is looking at this.
        - Leak test with the pigtail load was slow. Need to build that into
our production plans.
   - Feedthrough -1
        - Pigtail restraint system is in the machine shop (prototype for 
feedthrough -1).
        - Pin carriers were welded into warm & cold flanges.
        - Pumping ports need to be installed on WF and leak checked.
        - We have no bellows. They were sent back to BOA. We have to await
their return (3 weeks).

2. Steel
   - RKK has contacted David Lissauer and David has instructed BNL 
purchasing. Terry has arranged for shipment to be split.

3. FCI cables
   - RKK is arranging a trip to Boston to visit the plant.
   - RKK is trying to contact Helio.
   - Margret is bring samples to LARG week.

4. Welding report (PB)
   - Specific welding came to U Victoria for an afternoon and morning to:
       - welded pin carriers in to Warm & cold flanges
                 - no leaks
       - Welded insertion module
               - CF to funnel  with no leaks
               - WF & CF to Bellows
   - Root gap on welding preps will be increased by 1mm
       !! Weld prep for TIS test already changed.
   - Cost is likely to be about 8 hours of time @ 60$ per hour

5. TIS
   - There is now a final agreement with TIS. Terry and Roy will meet
with TIS in Geneva to cement our agreement.

6. Welder is undergoing minor repairs under warranty.

7. EBCO knows the order will be late - extra charge will be < 1k$.

8. PB and MF developed a new pattern to install the vacuum cables. This
gains us about 3cm extra stretch in the effective cable length.

9. Database info requested by CERN is being taken care of by Paul P.

10. Bob Orr needs material for NSERC meeting by December 10:
     MIG Budget   -   Michel
     Milestones   -   Margret
     ~10 photos and ~3 drawings of FT  - Paul P.

Please give RKK copies.
