Michel
is back now from vacation and from working at CERN on the testbeam.
He reported that using Athena for the on-line monitoring is going really well.
Rob regularly introduces new updates, and unlike in previous years,
lots of other people are contributing to the software as well.
One of the strong points of the monitoring package is that large parts of it
can be used for both beamlines H6 and H8.
Tamara
gave a nice presentation
(pdf)
that summarizes the results that she will
publish in her thesis.
Richard suggested that the results are really good and should
perhaps be presented at Cern during LAr week (by Rob perhaps).
Margret and Ian
are making good progress on cleaning up the LArG4TBEmecHec code.
Ian has almost finished a complete re-write of the part of the code that
reads the G4 HitsCollections and fills them into the Root Tree.
Margret has made the HEC and the EMEC sensitive to CalibrationHits.
She also wrote a few draft slides for a presentation during the
simulation meeting at the Lar week. She will finalize them next week (before
her departure on Sept.1).
Richard announced that he will be able to employ Ian until Christmas.
This will be a tremendous help for our efforts!
