Margret
reported that she is getting set up to go the Geant 4 tutorial
at SLAC in March. After some frustrating initial problems, she
now has enough software installed on the laptop to be able to run the first
exercise.
Her testbeam analysis is a little on hold at the moment until
the setup for the tutorial is completed to satisfaction.
She still plans to pursue a bit more work on the material runs,
following in part some work that was done by T.Carli.
Tayfun
had some comments w.r.t. the beam chamber information:
The beam chamber information of the Ntuples with the new EMEC
weights differs from information in the HEC Ntuples.
In order to avoid conflict, take beam information only from the
new EMEC files.
One confusing thing in the beam chamber information is the
fact that information exists for 5 beam chambers, even though
there are only 4 chambers in the beam. It looks a little bit as if
two of the 5 entries are almost the same, but they are not exactly
the same. This couldn't be resolved during the meeting. Tayfun will
contact Naoko and try to find out.
Tamara
is back to looking at the timing problems she sees in the EMEC when looking
at pion data. She tried to look at data with timing information
coming only from the HEC or only from the EMEC. Unfortunately her
job-output ran out of space and she will have to re-run things.
She also promised to find some 'good' runs for Rob: some
high energy runs with TDC working (difficult..., as the TDC was
not working most of the time, and the runs for which it was working
are mostly low energy runs, or they are runs which we don't have
readily available at UVic) and a couple of 'good' runs (one pion, one electron)
with TDC not working.
