Minutes of the UVic Testbeam meeting held Friday, September 17, 2004

Richard reported that Margret is going to merge our larg4 code with the cern code with Pavols help. He also reported that Paul Poffenberger will be helping with out g4 efforts.

Warren gave us a progress report.

Tayfun has returned from CERN/Turkey and is trying to get out of a pit of email. He also showed some preliminary data from Run I.

Ashok explained that the recent computer system troubles were the result of a move from the tombstone (webserver/LDAP/kerberos) server to a renamed fate-x, which will be running a Raid 1 to increase it's reliability. He pointed out that in the future the functionality now provided will be distributed over more servers. He has now installed Athena 8.6.0 and 8.7.0 at UVic and will shortly be trying to compile against the distribution kits.

Michel and Richard both agreed that in the future the analysis for this year's testbeam should be done as much as possible in athena and that NTuples should be limited to containing only high level quantities like cluster energies.

Tamara has started planing the structure of her thesis.

Ian has continued coding during but his scheduled has slipped by 2 days.
