   This routine is called for each connected adc channel (the channel number
    is passed on as an argument).

    Moments are collected, which will later (when? -> hec_his_pass1.f ) serve to calculate
    the average signal maximum for each channel.
    Pedestal-subtracted maximum sums are calculated for each tower depth.
 

    The   adc_max_ic(ic, 2)   is filled into histograms for runperiods > 3.
    For histogram switch   histo_switch(4) = 1
            the tdc corrected time max  is filled into histograms (if cubic fit is used)
            and tdc moments are collected.
    For histogram switch   histo_switch(5) = 1
            histograms are filled with the channel energy in [nA]
            Sums for energy histograms with maximums above certain
            sigma cut from peds are tabulated,
            plus the same after HV correction, when HV infos available
            and good calibration
