A few pictures of the ATLAS pit on 23 April 2004, provided by Roy Langstaff.  


A shot taken from halfway along the detector towards the 'C' end. The two yellow hats give a good comparison of scale.
A view of the 'A' end of the cavern. One can see the orange 'truck' on which the 'Extended Tile' calorimeter will be assembled, and into which the ECA will be mounted.
An image of the Support Feet taken from the 'A' end of the cavern. One can barely make out the continuing assembly of the Barrel Tile Calorimeter behind the scaffolding at the far end.
