ECC FCAL activity
August 2004

During the week of August 9th 2004, the FCAL insertion. Here are a few pictures and a few comments from Roy:
"There has been good progress in B180 this week.
In the HEC area, Wolf has given the electrical O.K. for wheel insertion. Monday morning will see preparations for mounting the push/pull device, with actual insertion beginning on Tuesday when the insertion team is here. The survey of the HEC1 inside the cryostat is set to begin next Thursday afternoon. The Rotator has been connected to the HEC2 assembly so we are ready to move HEC2 as soon as HEC1 has been inserted.
The FCAL team has had a great week. The cabling/checking was completed yesterday but due to personnel availability, the actual closure will not happen until Monday. I have attached a few shots of FCAL activity from this past week."

The insertion 'truck' has been moved forward and the FCAL assembly is being driven through the bores of the three detector wheels.
