Welcome to 2017!  It's been two weeks since the last telecon (on Dec. 20),   
and thus nominally tomorrow would be telecon day, but since people are
just returning from holidays, let's perhaps wait one more week before  
restarting the telecons, and have the first telecon of this year be on
Tuesday Jan. 10.
<P>

A lot has been done over the holiday break though (including an update of
the monitoring and control software to include a diffusive light source
option, in addition to the integrating sphere light source -- a screenshot
with both of the light sources enabled can be found at:
