Snowater, a collection of full- and time-share condominiums two miles east
of Glacier, Washington, has been our base for family get-togethers and
recreation in the Mount Baker area for many years.
With grounds located along the North Fork Nooksack River across from the
Douglas Fir Campground, a trail connecting with the US Forest Service
Horseshoe Bend Trail provides several kilometers of riverside walking.
The main draw to the area for us are the dozens of alpine hiking trails,
some just a few minutes away. We've also used Snowater as a basecamp
for further excursions, like Manning Park and Pasayten Wilderness.
It's nice to come back to a warm shower and a dip in the pool after a
long day on the trail.
