Skyline Divide [171 Kb]

The Skyline Divide Trail is one of the easiest in the North Fork Nooksack
area, and one which we've done many times.
The trail, which leaves from Deadhorse Road near the town of Glacier,
ascends about 500 metres through second growth forest.
The broad meadows of Skyline Divide are reached at an elevation of
1850 metres, about three kilometres from the trail head.
The trail continues along open meadows toward Chowder Ridge and Mount Baker,
which I only first explored on August 17, 2008.
Aside from good views of Mount Baker, there are also great views across
the Nooksack Valley to
Church Mountain
and
Excelsior Pass.
