Zermatt in the winter [78 Kb]

In the valley above Zermatt, along the way to
Schönbielhütte,
lies the tiny hamlet of Zmutt.
Like the trail to
Findeln,
the trail to Zmutt is often negotiable during the winter season.
We drove to Zermatt on a sunny day on January 19, 2003.
After a hefty meal in Zermatt, we walked the trail to Zmutt
for a nice mid-winter outing. Along the way we passed
a lady who must have been at least 70, wearing steel-spiked
boots, and outpacing many a fraction of her age.
We endulged in some pastries back in Zermatt before
catching the train back to Täsch where we had parked
our car earlier in the day.
