Victoria Tall Ships 2005 [258 Kb]

Victoria played host to the Tall Ships Festival in late June 2005, with
approximately thirty tall ships arriving for the event.
Among the tall ships to visit was the Lady Washington, based in Aberdeen Washington,
which appeared as the HMS Interceptor in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.
Two large ships, the Pallada from Russia and the Barque Cuauhtemoc from Mexico
also arrived for the four day event.
The pictures shown here were taken over the lunch hour on June 23, just prior
to the Parade of Sail into Victoria Harbour.
